Upcoming Aiken area meeting 22 October 2010

On October 14, 2010, in SC, Secession, by Michael

Aiken area patriots, liberty-lovers, secessionists and decentralists are meeting at The Highlander in North Augusta, SC on 22 October 2010 at 7 PM. Everyone is invited! This meeting will be a bit more organized than last time, folks – I promise! lol But we’ll still have fun and discuss our activism for independence. Click here for directions to The Highlander… and please spread the word!

Hi everyone, here is the recording of our latest podcast. Tonight we had more guests than usual so the show ran a little long but it was a lot of fun and we talked about some interesting topics, including our recent rally in Augusta (pictures on the media page.)

Listen and enjoy, and don’t forget to tune in next week – Sunday at 8PM!

PS – Unfortunately the video from the rally didn’t turn out very well. We had planned on making a “Why are you here today” video where everyone gave an answer as to why they were showing support for a free South Carolina. However, the wind and road noise made everyone’s answers inaudible. Sorry about that! We’ll do better next time.

Map to North Augusta, SC Secession Rally

On August 21, 2010, in SC, Secession, by Michael

A week from this Saturday - 28 August 2010 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM – is our secession/independence rally in North Augusta, South Carolina. Here is a map of the area. You’ll find us at Triangle Plaza Shopping Center on Edgefield Road. The shopping center is on the right hand side of the road (the eastern side) if you are going north out of town towards I-20 (we’ll be between the Belvedere-Clearwater intersection with Edgefield Road and the intersection where Edgefield Road splits into Knox Ave and Georgia Ave). We’ll be in the grassy area on the side of the road in front of the shopping center. Feel free to bring your South Carolina flags if you’d like but we’ll have signs and flags. We’ll also have some T-shirts for sale ($15) if you’d like to pick up one of them. After the rally we plan on getting a bite to eat in the area. Please try to make it as we’ll likely be a small crowd and every person counts. Help us get out the message of a free and independent South Carolina!

Moving ahead with the August sovereignty rally

On July 28, 2010, in SC, Secession, by Michael

Today, I went and spoke with the City Clerk for North Augusta, SC about getting the permit for our planned rally on 28 August. She was helpful and friendly and seemed to think there would be no problem getting the permit. I sent in a letter requesting it as she advised and am now waiting to hear back from the city. They have to get public safety to check off on it and then will let us know.

The different towns in the State have different ways of handling this. Some of them such as Mount Pleasant don’t require a permit unless the number of people demonstrating is more than a designated amount. Others such as Aiken have you fill out a “parade permit request” form. North Augusta has you send in a letter requesting a permit. So, they’re all different it seems. As we continue to promote pro-liberty and independence activism across the Palmetto State these are the kinds of things we have to learn about and deal with.
